Jaipur, December 5, 2024: The Palace School celebrated its much-anticipated Annual Day event on December 5, 2024, at the prestigious Birla Auditorium, Jaipur. The occasion was graced by Dr Anju Chazot, Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de La France (French Foreign Trade Advisor) & Founder of MGIS, Ahmedabad.

The Guest of Honour, Princess Gauravi Kumari Ji, an esteemed member of the Board of Governors of The Palace School, added prestige to the occasion with her presence.

This event was based on the school's Annual theme, 'Financial Literacy’ which showcased the school’s commitment to equipping students with essential life skills.
The Guard of Honour presented by the NCC cadets instilled a sense of pride among everyone witnessed.
The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the guests, followed by a soulful rendition of a shlok by the students. A highlight of the event was the Annual Report, delivered by the Principal, Ms. Urvashi Warman, showcasing the school’s achievements over the years.

The talented students mesmerised the audience with a harmonious jugalbandi on musical instruments, performing the Hans Dhwani raga. Their rendition featured sthai, antra, taan, and jhala, creating a melodious cascade of swar-lehri (musical notes).
A lighthearted play, 'Bandar Ki Khujli' adapted from a classic tale of the Panchatantra, ‘Hathi Ki Hichki’ highlighted important aspects of financial literacy and growth which drew attention to various investment and saving schemes offered by the government and explained how these modules are tailored to meet the needs of people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

The dance performance “Padharo Mhare Des” presented by the school students, celebrated the beauty and rich cultural heritage of Jaipur, the Pink City.

A short play ‘Maya Ki Chakri’ adapted from Munshi Premchand's classic story, ‘Kafan’ incorporated elements of the Khayal shaili. This play made the audience reflect on prioritizing one’s needs, wants, and desires. It was a subtle satire on how our desires can desensitize us to the simple needs of our loved ones, often leading not only to financial ruin but also to a bankruptcy of trust, love, and humanity.

Digital Dhamaal, Jee ka Janjaal, a Nukkad Natak aimed to create awareness amongst the audience towards the different types of cyber frauds prevalent in today's times. The play emphasised that staying alert and vigilant is the key to protecting oneself from the loss of body, mind, and wealth.

Keval Aaj Nahi Hai Jeevan (song), lyrics composed by Mr. Satyadeo Bairath, and staff and students of The Palace School and music composed by school faculty member, Ms. Priya Andrews, beautifully captured the essence of earning, saving, and giving back to the world.

The programme also had several dance performances choreographed around the theme of the event.
The Chief Guest and other dignitaries lauded the school’s efforts in spreading awareness about financial literacy and applauded the creativity and hard work of the students and staff.

The Chief Guest, Ms Anju Chazot emphasised the transformative potential of Experiential Learning and its alignment with NEP 2020. She spoke about how these approaches nurture holistic development, critical thinking, and lifelong skills, paving the way for significant growth in the future. She also underlined the pivotal role of parents as key stakeholders in a child’s educational journey, advocating for their active involvement to ensure a healthy supportive environment for the child’s overall development.

Princess Gaurvi Kumari Ji emphasised the significance of this year’s Annual Day theme, “Financial Literacy,” praising the school’s efforts to equip students with essential life skills in practical and meaningful ways. She acknowledged the diverse range of subjects and innovative teaching methods that inspire students to think critically, explore new ideas, and develop lifelong skills. She also praised the school’s commitment to the holistic development of every child, highlighting how its unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application distinguishes it as a leader in education.

The event was a perfect blend of education and entertainment, leaving the audience inspired and informed.
