RCIIS in 2020

As we approach 2021, we have been looking back on the unprecedented year of 2020. Our school motto has always been “Learning By Doing”, but in 2020, we put this sentiment into practice more than ever before. With our students’ education and safety as our top priorities, we pivoted to online, live classes within only two days back in March. We are proud to say that our online classes maintain almost all of the same elements as our previous in-person classes, such as student presentations, tests, one-on-one feedback from the teacher, and having 100% live instruction time. We have strived to ensure that our “new normal” maintains our standards and principles of education. However, we have in no way shied away from creative and innovative new strategies to connect with our students. We have developed online social events and workshops, weekly live streams of topical information with agencies and college pathway partners, and briefly (prior to the Toronto lockdown), a blended learning model for safe, in-person classes. Throughout 2020, we have always been there to support our students. We feel ready for, and look forward to, 2021! Come learn English the RCIIS way – Learning By Doing!
