Sobering! That’s what it felt like when I visited Soup Kitchen Rochdale. As with many good causes, it shouldn’t be needed, but most definitely is. It’s one thing knowing about issues like homelessness, but another thing seeing them up close.
As well as helping less fortunate people in Rochdale, Soup Kitchen Rochdale has a side benefit of using food that would otherwise be thrown away, which is great – reducing waste.
I wouldn’t have thought that broadband was very important for a soup kitchen, but find out that it is essential for communication and safety for the volunteers.
