Trail head: Take the Montenvers mountain train from Chamonix
Once you arrive Montenvers mountain train station, you can visit Grotte du Mer de Glace (Ice Cave).
The trail's starting point is located across from the Montenvers Hotel. Follow the trail marker for Signal Forbes.
Upon ascending and reaching Signal, continue following the signs for the Plan de l'Aiguille lift station. Once at the lift station, consider a brief side trip to Lac Bleu.
Afterwards, you can either return to Chamonix by cable car or ascend to visit Aiguille du Midi.
