Behind The Scenes at One of Australia's Greatest Vineyards - Yangarra & High Sands

We’ve worked with Yangarra for over a decade, but it had been a few years since we’d actually made it back to the vineyard. So, with harvest in full swing (and probably the worst possible timing for them), we dropped in on Pete Fraser for a proper catch-up and he gave us the full tour.

From the chaos of the winery floor to the beauty of the High Sands Vineyard, we got stuck into everything: whole bunch ferments, ceramic eggs, emerging varieties, the brand new 2023s in bottle and the 2024s still taking shape. Pete’s been at the helm here for 25+ vintages, and he’s still tweaking, questioning, pushing the envelope.

There’s a reason these wines are some of the best in the country.
