Trail Tech 2009:
3 day backpacking trip in Yosemite National Park in late October. Started at the Ten Lakes trailhead (elevation 7520') located on Tioga Rd inside the park. The trail is popular with backpackers since it's a beautiful area but hard to cover in a day hike. The trail climbs northeastwards for ~4 mi up to the Ten Lakes Pass plateau then, taking the Grant Lakes trail fork, downhill for ~ 2mi into the Ten Lakes Basin.
Camped in 2 beautiful locations at 2 different lakes (Grant Lake and one unnamed lake). Some chilly nights but the fishing was good. The out-and-back trip is approximately 12.1 miles.
