This large resin ocean art commission was inspired by the Mandurah Canals in Western Australia.
Beautiful sapphire and turquoise waves sweep onto the warm sandy beach with contrasting dark stones. I hand-carve each natural stone pice to fit the layout I want.
My lovely client requested lots of texture, so I added extra stone pieces and pebbles which I then painted to match her colour choice. The sand consists of five different kinds and sizes of sand grains to give it character.
The resin effect of cells works well for making realistic looking waves on ocean resin art.
This ocean inspired resin artwork was created with the highest quality epoxy resin, acrylic paint, pigments, natural stones and real Australian beach sand on a deep-edge birch wood canvas.
