Today we are going to discuss and shoot a 1943 Remind Rand US Property-marked M1911 A1.
There were a number of companies contracted to manufacture the GI 1911s during World War 2: Besides Colt, there was Singer (sewing machines), Ithaca, Springfield Armory, Remington UMC, and the largest producer at approximately 900,000: Remind Rand (a typewriter manufacturer that was once a part of the Remington firearms company).
