1️⃣에미넴(남자입니다)의 노래는 폭력적이고 선정적인 주제가 많습니다. 그래서 막 즐겨듣진 않는데요. 하지만 이 곡만큼은 힙합에서 최고의 스토리텔링을 담은 곡이라고 생각하며, 7분이 채 안되는 문학작품이며 영화 또는 예술이라 느낍니다. 스탠이라는 광팬이 슬림이라는 뮤지션에게 편지를 쓰는, 팬과 가수의 짜임새 있는 구도로 스토리를 구성했습니다. 이 곡의 관전포인트를 조금 적어보고 싶었어요.
2️⃣뮤비 포인트 - 스탠 입장
뮤비 맨 첫 시작에 스탠이 자기 머리를 염색한건 슬림을 따라한 것입니다.
스탠이 자기 아이 이름을 보니라고 짓는다는 건 에미넴이 1997에 발매한 ’97 Bonnie&Clyde’ 때문입니다.
스탠이 남동생과 같이 에미넴의 콘서트를 갔는데 뮤비를 보면 남동생은 전혀 흥미가 없어보입니다. 아마 본인이 에미넴에게 광적으로 빠져있어서 주변인들도 그럴 것이라고 자기 마음을 투영한 것 같습니다.
스탠이 가끔 손목을 긋고 피가 얼마나 나는지 지켜본다는 것은 에미넴이 1999년에 발매한 ‘I’m Shady’의 내용을 현실에서 그대로 따라한 것입니다.
실제 필 콜린스의 노래는 In the Air of the Night가 아닌 In the Air Tonight입니다. 스탠은 술에 취해 노래 제목도 헷갈릴 정도로 제 정신이 아니라는 것을 알려줍니다.
뮤비에서 스탠과 여자친구가 함께 찍은 사진 위에 여자친구 대신 에미넴의 사진을 올립니다. 자기 아이를 가진 여자친구보다 더 사랑하는 존재가 그에겐 에미넴입니다.
사고 직전 술에 취한채 90마일로 달린다고 하는데요. 환산하면 144km/h 입니다.
주행하며 여자친구를 묶어놓고 트렁크에 가뒀다고 한 부분 또한 에미넴이 1997에 발매한 ’97 Bonnie&Clyde’의 내용을 따라한 것입니다.

3️⃣뮤비 포인트 - 슬림 입장
뮤비를 보면 스탠의 편지는 사실 우체국의 실수로 전해지지 않았습니다.
스탠이 한겨울에 반팔을 입은채 에미넴에게 싸인을 받으려고 떨면서 기다리고 있었는데요. 다른 여자팬의 습격에, 안전상의 이유로 에미넴은 싸인을 할 수 없었습니다.
6개월이 지난 후 에미넴은 현실적인 조언을 기반으로 답장을 쓰는데요. 편지의 마지막 부분을 써갈 때 쯤 천둥이 치며, 티비에서 사고가 났다는 그 기사의 사망자가 자신에게 편지를 보낸 스탠이라는 걸 알게됩니다.
천둥이 칠 때 찰나 밖이 밝아지는데요. 유리창을 자세히 보시면 죽어서도 에미넴을 떠나지 못한 스탠의 모습이 섬뜩하게 비칩니다.
4️⃣알려드럼에서 이 곡을 소개해도 되나… 고민을 정말 많이 했는데요. (멜로디도 우울한 감성에 노래 가사까지 너무 자극적이라) 그래도 우리가 생각을 같이 공유하고 이야기 할 거리가 있을 거 같아서 고민끝에 업로드하게 되었습니다. 저는 이 곡 몰랐을 때로 돌아가고 싶네요. 처음 들었을 때의 충격을 다시 느끼고 싶어서…
5️⃣’stan’이 보통명사가 되게 한 노래
2000년에 발매한 이 곡은 메가 히트를 치며 ‘stan’이라는 단어가 극성팬, 사생팬이라는 의미로 사전에 등재되었습니다.

▶What I felt
1️⃣Eminem (I’m a Man) has many favorite topics in his songs. So I feel like I just enjoy listening to it. However, I think this song sings the best storytelling in hip-hop, and 7 is said to be a work of art, a movie, or art. A fan writes a letter to quickly contact the fan, and the story is structured with a structured relationship between the fan and the singer. You are feeling sorry for the point of view of this song.
2️⃣Music point - standing position
As the music video first starts, the number of people logging in will skyrocket.
*The reason why Du gives birth to his own child is because of Eminem's '97 Bonnie&Clyde' released in 1997.
*Because there is none, if I look up the music video for Eminem's concert with my younger brother, he doesn't seem interested at all. He probably thought with all his heart that he would be like the people around him who were madly in love with Eminem.
The fact that Stan sometimes cuts his wrist and watches how much blood bleeds is a realistic imitation of the content of ‘I’m Shady’ released by Eminem in 1999.
The actual Phil Collins song is In the Air Tonight, not In the Air of the Night. Stan is so drunk that he is so out of his mind that he even confuses the title of the song.
In the music video, on top of the photo of Stan and his girlfriend together, a photo of Eminem is posted instead of his girlfriend. The person he loves more than his girlfriend with his child is Eminem.
It is said that he was drunk and driving at 90 mph right before the accident. Converted to 144km/h.
The part where he said he tied up his girlfriend and locked her in the trunk while driving was also an imitation of Eminem's '97 Bonnie & Clyde' released in 1997.
(Verse 3) He was pouring out his emotions on the tape in an angry voice in the car, but the tape could not be delivered because the car fell under a bridge with his pregnant girlfriend.
3️⃣Music Point - Slim Entry
If you look at the music video, Stan's letter was actually not delivered due to a mistake at the post office.
Stan was shivering and waiting in the middle of winter wearing short sleeves to get Eminem's autograph. Eminem was unable to sign autographs due to security reasons after being attacked by another female fan.
Six months later, Eminem writes a reply based on realistic advice. As he writes the last part of the letter, thunder crashes, and he realizes that the person who died in the TV news article about the accident is Stan, who sent him the letter.
When thunder strikes, it becomes bright outside for a moment. If you look closely at the window, you can see an eerie reflection of Stan, who could not leave Eminem even after his death.
