Welcome to this Port Sunlight - The Wirral Village Made From Soap Vlog.

We recently visited the Wirral Peninsula for our channel, and check out the towns of Heswall, West Kirby and New Brighton, but after so many comments saying we had to visit Port Sunlight, we thought it would be rude not too.

We have to admit, this wasn't the first time we had visited Port Sunlight, as we'd both attended shows at the Port Sunlight Gladstone Theatre before and had had a wander around, but we had never really explored Port Sunlight or even taken in the history of the Lever soap factory until now.

Did you know an entire village on the Wirral was built using soap money? In this Port Sunlight Wirral vlog, we explore Port Sunlight, the famous model village created by William Lever, founder of Lever Brothers (now Unilever), and uncover the fascinating history behind one of Britain’s most unique places.

Join us as we walk through the picturesque streets of Port Sunlight Village, discover why it was built, and learn how it transformed workers’ lives during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. From stunning architecture and garden spaces to powerful social history, this village is much more than it first appears.

We also learnt that Port Sunlight was the town or village where Ringo Starr played his first official gig with The Beatles, and in this Port Sunlight Wirral Vlog, we visit that very location where Ringo appeared with the Beatles at Hulme Hall on 18th August 1962.

In this Port Sunlight Wirral Vlog, we take a look around the whole Wirral village of Port Sunlight and show you the places that made this historic village so famous. These include the Lady Lever Hulme art gallery, the stunning but slightly controversial Port Sunlight War Memorial. We look at the famous Lever now Unilever factory, we check out the beautiful green space of The Dell and take a look at the Port Sunlight museum and much more.

We obviously took time out exploring Port Sunlight to take in a lovely Sunday Lunch at the Port Sunlight Bridge Inn and learn some of the history behind this famous pub.
