Back in 2018, during FIC, Kaspersky alerted and educated about the threat of supply chain attacks.
The cases multiplied in the following years, and culminated in the discovery of a hidden backdoor in
OrionIT, a software published by the firm SolarWinds and deployed by many organizations with
strategic activities all over the world. Pierre Delcher and Ivan Kwiatkowski, researchers on the
Kaspersky GReAT team, will discuss the details of this sophisticated and iconic attack campaign rich in
lessons. Drawing on their expertise in the field of APTs, they will detail the course of the attack, the
tools used and suggest avenues for protection.
