Run - How Do People Speedrun This Flash Game Autoscroller?

A Video by Maximum - For years, people have been speedrunning the three games in the Run Series: Run, Run 2, and Run 3. Since debuting in 2008, every game in the run series has been a smashing success, with the trilogy arguably being the most popular in Flash game history. With speed baked into the very identity of these games, it makes sense that people would want to take a hand at beating them as fast as possible. However, since the player effectively moves at a constant speed in all of these games, wouldn't that make them autoscrollers? Is there even any strategy to speedrunning these games? How could people possibly gain or lose time over the competition? These are the questions that this video will aim to answer.
