Teacher’s Violence Against Students
The relationship between a teacher and a student has always been based on respect, affection, and guidance. A teacher is a mentor who imparts knowledge, morals, and social values to students. However, when the same teacher strays from their responsibilities and resorts to violence against students, it becomes not only ethically wrong but also legally unacceptable.

In today’s educational institutions, physical punishment, verbal abuse, and psychological pressure on students have sadly become common practices. Some teachers consider punishment a necessary part of discipline, but modern educational theories suggest that the best way to teach is through love, patience, and trust. Violence instills fear, insecurity, and inferiority in a child’s personality. Sometimes, these wounds are not just physical but emotional and psychological, leaving lifelong impacts.

According to Pakistani law, violence against children is a punishable offense. In particular, corporal punishment in schools is strictly prohibited. Unfortunately, in rural areas and some religious seminaries, this harmful tradition still persists. Society must take this issue seriously and work towards eliminating it.

Teachers should be trained through professional development workshops to adopt positive teaching methods. Parents also need to keep a close eye on their children’s emotional and physical well-being. The government must ensure strict implementation of laws to provide students with a safe and supportive learning environment.

In conclusion, the true stature of a teacher can only be restored when they guide students with kindness, knowledge, and fairness — not by instilling fear through violence.
