Taiwan's first radio station for the island's idigenous population is now up and running. At the station's opening ceremony, president Tsai Ying wen says the station will serve as a platform for preserving indigenous languages and cultures. But the creation of the station is not without controversy. The frequency it now uses, is previously taken back from another raido station by the Tsai administration.

總統蔡英文出席原住民廣播電台的開播儀式，強調希望透過這個媒體平台，做好原住族語言及文化的傳承。原住民有16族，未來平埔族的身分認證，會陸續進行，透過這個跨文化的媒體平台，做好原住族語言及文化的傳承。
