In 1936, Renato and Remo Sorge moved to the US from Italy. After 15 years in the restaurant business, they opened Sorge's Restaurant on 68 West Market Street in 1951. Sorge's became the area's finest Italian restaurant because of well-prepared and authentic meals made by Renato and his wife, Loretta.
