Part 2 of this Eastern Sierra trip slows things down even more.
After a quiet first night near the Owens River Gorge, the focus shifts to mellow trail exploration, early winter light, and settling into the kind of calm you only get when you stop trying to pack every moment with movement. Clear skies, light snow at elevation, and that unmistakable feeling of being on borrowed time before winter shuts the door for the season.
This episode is less about miles and difficulty ratings and more about absorbing the quiet—loop trails at elevation, wide-open views between the Sierra Nevada and the White Mountains, and finding camp early enough to really unwind. It’s a reminder that adventure doesn’t always have to be hard or rushed to be meaningful.
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect gear, the perfect schedule, or the perfect excuse to get outside—this is your sign. There’s a whole world out there, and sometimes all it asks is that you slow down and pay attention.
Thanks for being here and supporting the journey.
