Murunwa's talk is a call for action to challenge patriarchy in African politics. It challenges the legalization and normalizations of patriarchal politics in Africa. Her talk teaches the audience about  Afro-Feminism politics and the need for women in politics, since the population of Africa is largely female. This talk pleads with the people who have political power to open up political positions for women, because it has been almost 6 decades of political independence in Africa, and men have been the forerunners in building the political structure in Africa. Murunwa was born on the 01 October 1999 in Pretoria. She brought up by both parents and have three siblings.Growing up was quite shy until my early teenage years. She always loved talking and sharing ideas with people around her.She is the type of person that stands up for what she believes in, she is not one that backs down easily.
Murunwa is a young woman who finds joy in writing stories and sharing them on her typical word press blog. She is a routine type of person, so planned schedules are the best way to get going..She enjoy doing online activism work and sharing her plant-based diet recipes with facebook friends, which means she is a typical millennial “feminist”girl navigating through the world trying to share her ideas of an equal and inclusive world.. No matter how they talked about women, she never feel the need to mask the type of woman she is. She a go getter and she have found myself studying toward a national diploma in Chemical Engineering. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
