11-12-2025 Worm Wednesday Feeding Natural Bedding Bin

2 week check in for the Natural bedding bin. Hoping to get a harvest done before the next check in 2-3 weeks. After looking through the last feeding area, I moved some fresh bedding into the feeding area. I added watermelon, celery, comfrey stalks, and coffee grounds for the feeding. I added ground eggshells and covered the feeding area with castings and bedding. I sprinkled my homemade worm chow over the feeding area, then placed the brown paper bag on top of the worm chow. Finally I covered everything with bubble wrap to help keep the moisture in the bin, now my heater is kicking on because winter is coming.

💡 Worm composting tip: Always freeze your food scraps first and cover your feeding area with castings or bedding!

📦 This setup is the Natural Bedding Bin but I also have other systems like totes, a 5-gallon bucket, half a rain barrel bin, Vermihut Plus and even a shoebox worm bin!
