On April 5, 2025, the Rotary Club of Salt Lake Metropolitan Kolkata hosted a spectacular cultural evening titled "An Evening with Dr. Kumar Vishwas" at Science City, Kolkata.

The event was a beautiful confluence of poetry and philanthropy, graced by intellectuals, professionals, and social change-makers. It aimed to raise funds for two impactful community development projects — Matri Raksha (Women’s Anemia Eradication) and Shoring the Shores (Mangrove Plantation Initiative).

Key Highlights of Rotary Club Projects:
🌿 Dignity in Mobility – 550 wheelchairs distributed
🌿 Matri Raksha – 5,000+ women benefited, expanding to 15,000 more
🌿 Project Prayaas (Muluk) – Hospital-on-Wheels for remote areas
🌿 Andhere Se Ujala – Vision restored for 5,000 cataract patients
🌿 Project Swabhlamban – Empowering 550 youth with cycle vans
🌿 Project Gowshaala – Milk-yielding cows to 20 rural families
🌿 Project Dignity – 60 toilets and 7 rainwater ponds built
🌿 Clean Water Initiative – 3 purification plants in Sundarbans

The funds raised from this event will directly support long-term healthcare and environmental sustainability.
