Part 1, I replaced the Expansion Tank
Part 2, I installed a Lower Temperature Thermostat
Part 3, I upgraded to an Electric Cooling Fan
Part 5, I install a custom aux fan
This time I am replacing the factory radiator with a Behr OEM equivalent. With the other upgrades I have done, there is little need for an upgraded radiator especially with the lower temperature and pressures of my current set-up. Plus, unlike the Z, the only all-aluminum radiators for this car are super expensive, and the core is already very thick from the factory.
Replacing the radiator on this car is actually pretty easy, especially once you replace the clutch fan with an electric one. The radiator is only held in by a couple of bolts and gravity; the hardest part is fishing it out of the cramped engine bay. Now would be a good time to replace your hoses if they look rough. As easy as it is to remove, it is even easier to put back in. after that, just bleed the system, check for leaks, and enjoy your new reliability.
