A new sailing day begins in the Canary Islands as we lift anchor in Gran Canaria and set our course for Tenerife. It’s a 40-nautical-mile passage of smooth seas, steady winds, and that special kind of peace that comes when everything on board just flows. With full sails and calm conditions, we get to enjoy the rhythm of life between islands — cooking, eating, working, and simply being at home on the ocean.

We are full-time boat people, sailing a Hallberg Rassy Rasmus on a journey that has taken us from the Mediterranean, along the coast of Morocco, and now through the Canary Islands as we continue island hopping and exploring new sailing adventures. Our goal is to share the reality of living on a sailboat — the freedom, the simplicity, and the beauty of this alternative lifestyle.

Now, I’m exploring a new chapter, having jumped aboard my partner’s Hallberg Rassy Rasmus with Boga and his Australian Kelpie, Jango. Together, we face the unique dynamics and challenges of sailing as a couple, balancing off-grid life, sustainable sailing, and the demands of long-term cruising.
