A legend in his own lifetime, Optikz embodies a commitment and passion that has influenced the advance and evolution of electronic music in Thailand. His talent and dedication have helped start clubs, inspire local artists, and launch successful careers.


There are some individuals destined to emerge and change the landscape of their art. Optikz is one such figure - a risk-taking visionary, an instigator, and an innovator with an enduring impact on the underground electronic music scene. 2025 started off with a top 10 techno release on Beatport, and his best is yet to come.


Born in Bangkok, his journey began amidst the punk and metal-fueled chaos of East Village, NYC, where his early exposure to acid-infused house and techno sparked a lifelong passion for the underground. His DJ career took flight in the vibrant basement clubs of New York City during the mid-2000s, but his first major gig dates back to 1995 in RCA, Bangkok. With no CDJs in sight, Optikz mastered the art of mixing on cassette decks, navigating the raw simplicity of the time with an instinct for rhythm and flow that set him apart.


Over the past 24 years, Optikz has performed more than 3,000 gigs in iconic cities like New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Tokyo, Amstedam, Berlin, Paris, Goa and Bangkok, as well as in vibrant locales such as India, Natureland, France, German, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Bali, Phuket, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Chang, and Chiang Mai. His reputation extends to premier international festivals, including ADE Amstadam Electronic music event 2023&24, Epizode 3, Wonderfruit 3&5, Mystic Valley 2020&23, Awakening lll, Thantawan music festival 2023&24and Ultra Singapore, cementing his role as a global ambassador representing Thailand for underground sounds.


In 2007, Optikz relocated to Bangkok, swiftly becoming a cornerstone of its burgeoning underground scene. His collaborations with local and international talents further refined his craft, enabling him to shape Bangkok’s sonic landscape and elevate its nightlife to new heights.


With a deep love for techno, Optikz channels his creative energy into producing tracks that reflect the core values of the underground movement. Focused on constant innovation, he dedicates himself to refining his sound, ensuring that each new release embodies the raw intensity and precision that have become the defining features of his legendary DJ sets.
