MARTYRS’ DAY – INDIA 30 January | Remembering Our Brave Heroes
WHY WE OBSERVE MARTYRS’ DAY Martyrs’ Day is observed on 30 January every year. It marks the day Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in 1948. On this day, we remember all Indians who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Their courage gave us independence and democracy.
🧔 MAHATMA GANDHI (1869 – 1948) Father of the Nation
📌 Led India’s freedom struggle through truth and non-violence.
📌 Taught the world the power of peace and moral courage.
📌 His life inspires us to solve problems without violence.
Quote: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
🧑🦱 BHAGAT SINGH (1907 – 1931) Young Revolutionary Hero
📌 Fought bravely against British rule at a young age.
📌 Gave his life for the country at just 23 years old.
📌 Symbol of fearlessness and patriotism.

🧔 SUBHAS CHANDRA BOSE (1897 – 1945)

📌 Formed the Indian National Army (INA).

📌 Brave warrior of the 1857 freedom struggle.
📌 Fought courageously to protect her land and people.
📌 Symbol of women’s strength and sacrifice.
