Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to kill off his Chagos Islands bill in the wake of a President Trump's backlash over the deal earlier this week.
The legislation was due to be debated in the House of Lords on Monday, but has been delayed after the Conservatives warned it may violate a 60-year-old treaty with the US which enshrines British sovereignty over the archipelago.
Peter Cardwell joins Kevin O'Sullivan to explain the latest.
