Translumo real-time English translated (very roughly tho) longplay of Kyoei Toshi: City Shrouded in Shadow, 巨影都市, lit. City of Giant Shadows. It is a spiritual successor to Disaster Report series, and the first related project from Granzella, newly born team behind the original DR series. This game is a Japanese-only PS4 exclusive from 2017, featuring popular kaiju and tokusatsu monsters, as well as City again falling into despair and destruction, as in every Disaster Report game. This here was played on a PS4 Slim console, and OH BOY DID THIS GAME RUN LIKE UTTER SH*TE, OH MY. Anyway, recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS. Game itself runs at up to 60 fps, at something like 900p-1080p.

The game is set in the fictional Ichi City in Japan, which is attacked by mysterious giant monsters called kyoei ("giant shadows"). The player can choose between two player characters—a man named Ken Misaki or a woman named Miharu Matsuhara (the character may be renamed)—with the objective being to try to escape Ichi City with their partner Yuki. After witnessing a deal between yakuza, they must also escape a hitman who pursues them across the city. During their escape, the player learns more about Yuki's past and her connection to the kyoei.
