We needed a way to haul our 2 and 4 year olds bikes while we are on long rides (they love to ride but only for a few miles before they get back into the Burley Bee).
With a few minor modifications - a long Tupperware container, a homemade T bar, and some bungee cords - letting them enjoy their ride and then us enjoy ours is easy as can be!
Its well made, sturdy but lightweight, pulls smoothly, and easy to assemble. We continue to be loyal Burley customers.
Its real easy to pull the bike out, attach the Burley Flatbed, load it up and go! It holds all the gear I need for a day on the beach. Super easy to bike through the sand with it, or when the sand is a bit deeper, to push the bike with the Flatbed attached.
Super easy to rinse off when I return to home.
I was wondering if this trailer was going to work with my 54" High Wheel (Penny Farthing). I do long trail rides on crushed stone, or asphalt. Everything snapped together, no tools other than putting on the bracket.
Now what I had to do for the 16" rear wheel was to turn the bracket upside down to make it a little higher. It made the trailer level. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together and another 10 maybe to put the hanger on the rear wheel.
VERY lightweight. Ill buy another hanger for my trail bike. I got tired of having a backpack on my back making me more hotter than I was. This will be GREAT.
