CoinOPS Forgotten Worlds Evolution 2026 builds, successors to our recent Deluxe releases, represent the next evolution in the CoinOPS series. Some of these new features came with Deluxe and Atarashii 2024 and many have been further refined and improved. This will be our base build now and through 2026.

Getting Started:
-------------------------
Minimum OS: Windows 7 or newer (Win 10 & 11 preferred).
Hardware: For playing arcade or older 16-bit console games, an entry-level system with an Intel i5 processor with 16GB ram and an average onboard GPU or graphics card will do. But for newer console emulation, (PlayStation, Xbox, Wii, etc.) you will need at least a higher-end Intel i7 PC with a strong GPU.

Antivirus-ware may flag, quarantine or delete several files in CoinOPS that are perfectly safe but trigger virus pattern detectors. You can set your antivirus app to "exclude" or "blacklist" files or folder directories to avoid this. As an example, see the below URL for instructions on how to do this with MS Windows Security:

If CoinOPS fails to start properly the 1st time, restart the PC and try again, as it sets up some of the newer dependencies in Windows automatically.

This build will run fine on most anything, including your internal drive, external SSD, or even thumb drives.

To set up, simply extract the archive using WinRAR on Windows 10/11 by right-clicking on the "part001.rar" file and selecting WinRAR's "Extract to" command. Put the extracted files in the root directory of your chosen storage device to avoid the occasional errors from long directory path lengths.

In the folder "\- Fixes when not working!!!\"

Run the "DX9 installer" to ensure proper glass/visual support. "\DirectX 9\DXSETUP.exe".
Run Visual C++ Redistributables to ensure menu video playback works."\All In One Runtimes\Install ALL.bat" (confirm each request to update the multiple packages until bat ends). Restart your computer once complete.

Time to run your build! Just execute your ".exe" file of choice in the main directory. This is done by creating an icon or by auto-booting into CoinOPS.
