The Woman Who Seduced Multiple Angels | Legends From The Zohar

One of the most fascinating things about biblical characters is how much material one can find that seeks to enrich such characters beyond what we are given in scripture. Sure, some like early church father Ireneaus will tell us it ’s blasphemous and indeed, considering certain traditions and narratives exist outside of the biblical text, they are ultimately rejected by believers and traditionalists. Yet, when many such beliefs were circulated amongst ancient religious communities, it does pique our interest and curiosity as to why such communities acknowledged these ideas and where, if not the bible, did they come from. One such character that fits the mold is Naamah, a woman briefly mentioned in chapter 4 of Genesis as a descendant of Cain and daughter of Lamech.
