Wanted to share something I have learned over the years unclogging sewers. This nice little sweep at the tip of a sewer machine cable will agitate thick clogs to help them work through, instead of the cable just going straight through it and back out. That is something you will get when you have a long time clog that is very sludgy.  This will also help the cutter beat around in the pipe if you have cast-iron that is rough, gooey buildup in a lavatory or kitchen drain, and especially for a sewer that had roots in it using a root cutter.
