So that he would feel
better about it.

so that he wouldn't
kill himself.

Sophie That he was put on this earth to bring joy.
Something like that.
It's why she called him "Happy."
Ms. Stewart And?
Sophie And she...
couldn't believe that
he based his whole life
around this made-up story.
He was a street clown,
and he wanted to be a comedian.

She made fun of him

Sophie She just thought
it was ridiculous
that he thought
he could make people laugh.
I mean, she said Arthur wasn't funny at all.
