बांग्लादेश एक ऐसा देश है जो अपने जन्म से पहले और बाद समस्या से ही जूझता रहा है। पहले राष्ट्र के निर्माता शेख मुजीबुर्रहमान की हत्या हुई। भारत ने बड़ी क़ुर्बानी देकर बांग्लादेश बनवाया पर यह देश भारत के लिए समस्या ही बना रहा। जिहादी तत्व ही देश की राजनीतिक दिशा और दुर्दशा तय कर रहे हैं। बांग्लादेश की पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री बेगम खालेदा जिया के निधन से देश की राजनीति का एक अध्याय ख़त्म हो गया है। बांग्लादेश की सबसे लम्बे समय तक प्रधानमंत्री रहीं शेख़ हसीना इस समय भारत में शरण लिए हुए हैं । वहाँ फ़रवरी में आम चुनाव होना है। पर हिंसा की बढ़ती घटनाएँ आशंका पैदा कर रही हैं।

Jihadi elements are deciding the political direction and plight of the country. With the demise of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Ziyal, a chapter in the country's politics has ended. Sheikh Hasina, the longest serving Prime Minister of Bangladesh, is currently taking refuge in India. General elections are to be held there in February. But increasing incidents of violence are creating apprehension.
