Welcome to Chalk Talk! This is a series in which I discuss installing a specific scheme or concept in depth, just like we would with an actual team, using our favorite football video games as a visual aid.
Cover 3 is one of the foundational coverages that you will see at all levels of organized football, and whether you want to run it as an every-down call or as a trap coverage, it's a valuable piece to add to your physical (and virtual) playbook. However, our most recent rendition of football video games hasn't quite hit the mark with getting this coverage right. Let me try and walk you through the good, bad, and ugly of 3 Match in CFB26.
