Lily Henley and Duncan Wickel's sound is "deeply folk and intrinsically human... a creative take on centuries-old songs that is both fresh and familiar." -Songlines
We had the absolute pleasure of filming the duo in Akira Satake's pottery studio in Asheville NC. This song "Alta Alta Va La Luna" is sung in the Ladino language which is a language spoken by Sephardic Jews living mostly in Israel, the Balkans, North Africa, Greece, and Turkey.
An intrinsic part of Parkway Sessions is their ability to be mobile. In our studio we created an environment that is cozy and well suited for capturing live performances and our equipment is modular in nature, ready to be packed up at a moments notice.
