“I come from the favelas in Brazil, so when you come from a place like this, you don't have much opportunity or structure to get the educational support to understand these things. So, when I started to study about politics and stuff like that, to get more involved and know better about my country and our situations, then I started to understand how important is nature and how the politics and the richers, how these people want us to get more materialistic every time. And I'm not saying that we should not make money or we should not have things – I have things, I have money. But it's not – we shouldn't have a life which we lose purpose, is the things, the money. We should balance. You know, the equilibrium of things, you know – balance and have a little, share a little, you know. I think the balance is the secret.”

“If we look at nature, we don't see the animals stocking stuff for them – more and more stuff. We see the animal taking care of the environment and using it a little bit, according to your necessity, and this and that. We don't see this fight for having more, you know. And I think that's what we should learn with nature, that we can take advantage of the nice things and enjoy the material world in a way that doesn't kill more, doesn't make more bad for indigenous, for nature, for the Amazon.”

"This dress was made by a Brazilian. I used this dress before in a Grammy nomination I had in awards and it's very beautiful. I wanted to use it again because I love it and because I'm against this thing that we only can use the outfit one time, you know. I think we should use more -- just buy less, reuse more. So that's the dress I used before and I love it. It's honoring an artist that I love in my country. It's called Xuxa and she word that years ago."
