completely demolished bldgs.
MCU, Maj Gen Walter M Robertson, 2nd Div Commander surrounded
by high-ranking officers.
Ints of warehouse, US soldier inspects crates of wine, sausages, women's
slips, pharmaceutical supplies, cases of champagne, cigars, etc left
behind in retreat of Germans.
VS, German Col Erich Pietzonka, Commander of the German 7th
Paratroop Regt, formally surrenders to US Col C J Herschfelder,
Commander of the 9th Inf Regt, 2nd Inf Div. The officers salute and
shake hands.
