The spell of severe cold continues in India, as biting cold and dense fog have disrupted daily life across the northern and eastern plains. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a very high likelihood of cold wave conditions persisting over the next two days in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha. In the coming days, light to dense fog is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and western Uttar Pradesh.

भारत में कड़ाके की ठंड का सिलसिला जारी है, क्योंकि कड़ाके की ठंड और घने कोहरे ने उत्तरी और पूर्वी मैदानों में रोजमर्रा की जिंदगी को अस्त-व्यस्त कर दिया है। इंडिया मेट्रोलॉजिकल डिपार्टमेंट (IMD) के अनुसार, अगले दो दिनों तक हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, पंजाब, हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़, पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश, राजस्थान, छत्तीसगढ़, झारखंड और ओडिशा में शीतलहर की स्थिति बनी रहने की बहुत ज्यादा संभावना है। आने वाले दिनों में पंजाब, हरियाणा, राजस्थान और पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश में हल्का से घना कोहरा देखने को मिलेगा।
