While he sleeps, Mama Cat quietly writes a note at the dining table, letting him know she has to go to work. On the table, she lovingly prepares a warm breakfast—fried rice topped with a sunny fried egg and a glass of fresh milk.
After gently closing the shoji door, Mama Cat heads to her ramen shop.
