Ingredients:
– Moog Matriarch
– Strymon Dig
– Strymon Nightsky
– Teenage Engineering OP-Z
– Teenage Engineering PO-28 Robot
AUDIO CONNECTIONS:
OP-Z goes straight into the mixer/DAW. I used Matriarch's stereo output which goes into the stereo in of the Nightsky and then into the mixer/DAW. PO-38 goes into the DIG and then via stereo output into the mixer.
There are 3 stereo audio tracks altogether.
MIDI/CLOCK:
OP-Z acts as a MIDI clock master here providing the tempo information for the Matriarch.
MUSIC:
The main theme is played by the Matriarch. A sequence of minor chord stabs which transpose quite well. There's a nice pad/bedding provided by the nightsky which mellows down a bit the whole sequence giving it a spooky character. The fun part begins with the Dig and the PO-28. DIG works here, in some way, like a whammy bar on the electric guitar making the solo a bit more interesting. PO-Z gives here the steady rhythm - drums + static bass.
