FIRST TRIP on the NEW WHALY 435 - MIXED FISHING CORNWALL | Small Boat Fishing UK -

At long last the NEW 2024 WHALY 435 was ready to hit the salt.

So I headed down to Cornwall to meet up with Mark, I needed to run the outboard in so my main target was to get 10 to 15 hours of run time on the outboard and NOT BLANK 🤣.

We covered all bases so we took out big fish rods lure and jigging rods just so we could be prepared as you never know what you'll find off the coast down there.

I wanted to chuck the boat in at the deep end, so headed down to Porthoustock for a very steep stoney boat launch on the beach using the new winch setup. Then covering lots of ground trolling for Threshers and lure and jigging some wrecks and rough ground.

We covered tonnes of ground and didn't blank so we were happy, although the fishing wasn't as good as it could have been.

I am super happy with the boat so far, it needs some weeks which I will be doing after I return home, but all in all so far this is a far superior boat setup to my old Whaly 435 with 25hp mercury and I'm over the moon to have it in my possession.
