What is your favorite memory of Roller Derby? Share with everyone in the comments section. Interesting to hear Charlie O'Connell's perspective during the game. He discusses skaters, their talents as well as adding color to the announcing. Original Roller Derby ended when Jerry Seltzer closed down in December of 1973. However in 1977 a promoter and some of the stars began the International Roller Skating League (IRSL) and operated for nearly 10 years. Most games were skated in the bay area, however they did have some road trips. The league existed until 1987.
