Some types of hearing loss are temporary and can be completely treated if diagnosed in time.
Common causes include:

Earwax blockage (Cerumen impaction)

Fluid behind the eardrum due to cold or sinus infection

Middle ear infection (Otitis media) causing ear fullness or pressure

Dr. Vats also warns that if these conditions are ignored, temporary hearing loss can turn into permanent damage due to continuous pressure on the eardrum or nerve involvement.
So if you feel reduced hearing, don’t delay — visit an ENT doctor for a proper ear check-up and treatment before it becomes irreversible.
