TTC held a goodbye party for the now permanently closed Line 3 Scarborough RT, which served millions of residents in Toronto's east end for 38 years. It was and will always be a Scarborough and Toronto transit history icon. Intended as a nostalgic throwback to 1985 when the line opened, this event featured a silent auction, memorabilia, and two ICTS Mark I trains parked on both platforms where people could walk inside the cars for the very last time. The line was supposed to close in November but a derailment back in July forced the early closure.
