An early Regina shipped Dec 7, 1895, this music box uses an imported Polyphon mechanism.
Regina later went on to becoming one of the largest U.S. manufacturers of music boxes, creating a variety of music boxes and sizes of disc with the 15 1/2" the most common "Music Sheet'.
This allows playing of both Regina branded and Polyphon discs on the machine. Regina discs were also Sears branded and notable for copper over steel materials.
Modern discs are produced by a very few companies today including Porter Music Box Company and HensTooth Discs in the U.S.
