In the United States, there doesn’t exist a single place that has good climate, is walkable, and affordable. In Cities like NYC, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia it is very possible to live car free but they have terrible winters, are very expensive and not safe. Many cities in Latin America offer very low cost of living , good climate and many great walkable neighborhoods. Medellin embarked on an ambitious project to massively plant trees everywhere. Laureles is a sector of Medellin that feels like walking through a botanical garden. Here I am in Cali Colombia in the El Sindicato Neighborhood that reminded me of Laureles. I would even argue that it looks identical to the Laureles Neighborhood. #colombia #urban #city #living #abroad #expatlife #cali
