This is a watercolor sketchbook I recently finished up! I started it back in 2018 when I travelled to Hong Kong and Japan.
The first half of the sketchbook is plein air/urban sketching watercolor paintings I did on location. It was a really fun experience, and my paintings sparked some interesting conversations with locals and tourists.
The second half (01:15) is filled with drawings of food I ate in Japan. Food ended up being a really fun topic to practice layout design and painting techniques on. It made me really hungry, though…

– Watercolor pencils (Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer)
– Fountain pens (Preppy Platinum Fine, Lamy Safari Fine)
– White gouache (Winsor & Newton)
– Red carmine Col-erase pencil
