Snow Elf Makeup Tutorial!

Hey guys!

It’s been way too long since I’ve done a video like this! Here’s the newest edition to my character concepts makeup series! :D

This time, I give you a freckle-faced snow elf from high in the northern woods! She doesn’t have much of a write up this time, however my concept for Athiri was that I wanted to play with the idea of having a race of elves who not only didn’t have flawless skin, but embraced it and considered it to be a mark of beauty. In this instance, I thought it would be fun to play with the idea of heavily frecked snow elves. As freckles intensify with exposure to the sun, snow elves would consider them to not only be quite beautiful, but also extremely desirable in partners. The more freckles a snow elf has, the more time they spend outdoors, which means they likely can endure more extreme, frigid temperatures in their frozen northern climate. A most favorable gene to pass on to offspring, no? ;P

I tried to hold off on filming this video for a day when it would snow so it could add to the realism. Sadly, we’re just getting endless warm weather right now and all the snow is melting. I had to make do. :C
