Marla Strain represents injured victims and their families in personal injury, product liability, insurance bad faith, consumer fraud, medical negligence and serious automobile accidents.

Marla’s passion for seeking justice is “in her blood” and fuels her desire to tell the stories of people who might otherwise not have a voice. A graduate of UC Berkeley and USC Law, Marla initially worked as a tax attorney at Loeb and Loeb in Los Angeles, before returning to her roots and embracing a plaintiffs’ practice with her father, Stan Jacobs, focusing on insurance bad faith and personal injury trial work. Marla’s ability to read between the lines, to tell it like it is and to evaluate how a judge and jury react to the evidence at trial have contributed to her success as a tenacious and creative advocate on behalf of her clients

Prior to joining Eric Ratinoff Law Corp, Marla worked extensively in Los Angeles as a civil litigator in a range of practice areas, including tax issues, family law, personal injury and consumer issues. In 1994, she brought her legal expertise to practice independently in Sacramento.

She is admitted to practice in the 9th Circuit, as well as both Central and Eastern District Courts.

Additionally, Marla has volunteered extensively in the community, serving on the Mariemont Elementary PTA and strengthening WEAVE’s “Suited for Success” program.
