US President Donald Trump arrives for a state visit to England.
President Trump suggested the US trade deal with Britain could be “refined” as he departed for his state visit to London.
The president arrives with his wife, Melania, at Stansted on Tuesday evening for a visit he called a “great honour”. It marks the first time an American president has been hosted for a second state visit. Trump’s first was in 2019.

Trump told reporters at the White House he had a “very good” relationship with the UK and was open to improving the trade deal. “They want to see if they can refine the trade deal a little bit,” he said. “We made a deal, and it’s a great deal. And I’m into helping them … we’ll talk to them”.
