Canvas: 8x10 inch stretched cotton canvas
Acrylic Paints: Mid-Gray, Sky Blue, Titanium White, Burnt Umber, Yellow Ochre, Ivory Black, Sap Green, Light Green
Brushes & Tools: Blush brush (stippling brush), 1/2" flat brush, small flat brush, long-bristle round brush
📌 Step-by-Step Guide:
1️⃣ Blend the Sky – Apply mid-gray, sky blue, and titanium white directly on the canvas and use a blush brush to blend in circular motions. Keep it soft and patchy for a smooth transition.
2️⃣ Create the Mountains – Load a flat brush with burnt umber and yellow ochre using a dry brush technique. Apply horizontal strokes across the center to separate the sky from the land.
3️⃣ Add Depth – Layer ivory black over the mountain area, leaving one side bold and textured while blending the other. This helps create a more realistic landscape.
4️⃣ Paint the Land – Use sap green and light green with a flat brush, adding rough strokes to create natural-looking grass and foliage.
5️⃣ Detailing – Add yellow ochre, burnt umber, and sap green to the lower right for texture and contrast.
6️⃣ Final Touches – With a dry round brush, apply thick titanium white in circular motions to create soft, wispy clouds and reflections at the bottom of the landscape.
