Risky SxS Recovery

We got a call for a side by side that had rolled off a steep hill near the Colorado border. A group had come out of Grand Junction to get it and had got it out of the ravine and got it back to where it had initially rolled. They didn't feel comfortable going any further so they called us. Shawn and me jumped in Mini-Mater and the recovery trailer and headed up there. Crossing the Delores River near Dewey Bridge was the quickest way in to the vehicle. However theriver was running kind of high. So the crossing was interesting, but we made it. Then once up to the rig we swapped tires around, then got it winched away from the edge. Once we got it up to the trailer we loaded it up. We decided against going back through the river since it was raining upstream so we just hauled it to Grand Junction up over the Colorado National Monument.
